The Celarain Lighthouse Ecotourism Park is one of the places you can not miss while visiting Cozumel Island, not only because of the beauty of the five ecosystems that coexist on the island, but because of the many activities you can enjoy there.

With an area of approximately one thousand hectares, this ecotourism park includes lagoons, mangroves, coastal dunes, reefs, beautiful beaches, a small museum, Mayan archaeological sites, and areas for the conservation of local fauna, such as the sea turtle and the crocodile.

 

El Parque Ecoturístico Faro Celarain es uno de los lugares que no puedes dejar pasar en tu visita a Isla Cozumel, no solo por la belleza de los cinco ecosistemas que lo conforman, sino por las tantas actividades que puedes disfrutar ahí. Con un área de aproximadamente mil hectáreas, este parque ecoturístico abarca lagunas, manglares, dunas costeras, arrecifes, hermosas playas, un pequeño museo, zonas arqueológicas Mayas, y áreas para la conservación de fauna local, como la tortuga marina y el cocodrilo.

Climb to the top of the Lighthouse to enjoy the beautiful views of the park; you can also visit the house of the keeper where you will find the Cultural and Navigation Museum. In this space, you will learn about the history of navigation and signaling, from pre-Hispanic times to the present day.

It is important to highlight, among its many attractions, the wildlife of the natural area. Beautiful white sand beaches, crystal clear water and coral reefs make Isla Cozumel a perfect ecosystem for all the diversity of wild species that inhabit the area.

Near the area, you will find Laguna Colombia, a space that can be enjoyed on catamaran-type boats, or by foot. You will have the opportunity to practice birdwatching among the mangroves or being lucky enough to encounter with a crocodile.

The cost of admission to the Faro Celarain Ecotourism Park is $9 for adults and $4 for children between 3 and 11 years. The visiting hours are from 9:00 to 16:00 hours, every day of the week.
